Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition to help make globetrotting more affordable

Nokia has just unveiled the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition, promising a more affordable navigation solution for frequent travelers and avid cellphone users alike. Dressed in black and quite unassuming, the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition comes pre-loaded with Nokia Maps with support for GPS navigation assisted by an integrated digital compass.

Able to connect to the Internet only through GPRS, it also comes with a free 2GB memory card so users won't feel the need to go online and download maps--maps of the area where each individual phone is sold in come pre-loaded, and Nokia offers a free lifetime navigation license.

And that's not all, because the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition should also be quite an excellent phone, featuring an MP3 player, FM radio, 2-megapixel camera and 2.2-inch screen. Battery life can last up to 18 days in standby and four and a half hours during talk.

The best part of all this is that Nokia says the suggested retail price of this phone will be a mere 110 Euro or about 7,500 Pesos. The catch? It won't be available until the second quarter of 2010. If it will even be available over here, that is.
